The Heart Behind the Barn
As a family-run business, we understand how special it is to bring people together. Megan and Erik, with three kids, value the time they spend with both family and close friends who feel like family. Joe and his wife Lindsay also have three kids and share a love for adventure, whether it’s spending a day out on the lake or exploring nature on dirt bikes. As a team, we’re all about celebrating life’s special moments and creating a space where others can do the same. Though we weren’t born here, we fell in love with the sense of community and can’t imagine living anywhere else. For us, The Heritage Barn is more than just a venue—it’s a place where lifelong memories are made. We’re honored to continue the work started by Susan Sigmon, Cheryl Brown, and Marcheta Campbell, who first brought this dream to life.
At The Heritage Barn, we believe life’s best moments happen when friends and family come together. Located on a 30-acre farm in the peaceful foothills of North Carolina, our venue offers the perfect backdrop for celebrations of all kinds. Whether you’re planning a wedding, a family reunion, or a corporate retreat, our modern rustic barn accommodates up to 200 guests indoors, with space for up to 350 on our gorgeous outdoor grounds. And we’ve thought of everything—climate-controlled interiors, Wi-Fi, covered porches, a walking trail, and even a fire pit to gather around when the night cools down.

Conveniently located just 45 minutes from Charlotte Douglas International Airport and only 20 minutes from Lake Norman, we’re easy to reach for both local and out-of-town guests. We’re also a short 25-minute drive from the Hickory and Statesville regional airports, making The Heritage Barn a perfect blend of charm and accessibility.
